Our Story

Indigo Tangerine's passion is to design and create distinctive and beautiful on-trend gifts and home accents, embracing the farmhouse style that is near and dear to our hearts here in rural Wisconsin.

Indigo Tangerine is the legacy of the late founder Rachel Bode Tucker, a single mom to five teenage boys and self-proclaimed entrepreneur. Sitting at her kitchen table one night in November of 2014, Rachel sketched a few ideas on scratch paper to sell at a holiday gift market. Her distinctive designs were an unexpected hit and soon she began crafting products to sell on Etsy. Assembling a team of amazing women from her local Chattanooga community, Rachel’s start up became a bona fide success story.

After flourishing for five years, tragically Rachel was fatally injured in a car accident, but our story doesn't end there.  To carry forth Rachel's vision, the baton was passed to another group of amazing women. Jessie Johnson and her team at American Life Brands have embraced the opportunity to nurture and grow Indigo Tangerine while upholding its reputation for quality and design.
